The Cause

At the Jack & John Memorial Charity Golf Tournament, we are proud to rally the community together to support a cause that truly matters. Funding Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) research is of utmost importance in the medical field to unravel the mysteries behind this devastating condition and work towards preventing future tragedies. With every swing on the golf course and every donation made, we edge closer to understanding the causes and risk factors associated with this syndrome, ultimately saving precious lives.

All funds raised at our tournament go to support the Aaron Matthew SIDS Research Guild, dedicated to advancing research efforts by using the latest data science and collaborating with some of the world’s top medical researchers. It is through the generosity of our participants and donors that we can ensure crucial resources are directed towards combatting SIDS and offering hope to those affected.

The Aaron Matthew SIDS Research Guild was established to fund much‐needed research in this field, in cooperation with Seattle Children’s Hospital Integrative Brain Research Institute. The group was named in honor of Aaron Matthew Kahan, son of Heather and John Kahan, who sadly passed days after his birth in 2003. Researchers from Seattle Children's Hospital, New York University, Langone Medical Center, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and many more are working on solving this terrible mystery.

By contributing to this noble cause, participants and donors play a vital role in making a tangible difference in the fight against SIDS. Together, we can empower researchers, offer support to families, and continue the important work needed to make strides in preventing SIDS. Thank you for being a part of this meaningful journey with us.
